Joshua

and

Jennifer

Our story looks a little different — not traditional, not formal, not the “usual way.” We’ve held this sacred for a while, but we’re excited to share that we eloped!! — not because we wanted less, but because God made it clear: He gave us each other, and we’re choosing to walk in alignment with Him.

There’s a holiness in simplicity, in just being, abiding, choosing faith, hope, and love, this love being the most important.

Our union is about faith, intention, agápē love, and freedom — not pressure or performance. Everything that has unfolded has been His timing and His design.

Our story has never been about attention on us. It’s about giving glory to God and walking together in the purpose He set before us.

Choosing God. Choosing each other. Always.

How We Met

Our story began on August 17th, 2025, in a way neither of us expected. Joshua had just left Colorado and was passing through Boone when his former roommate, Isaiah, invited him to a gathering at a local coffee shop—adding offhandedly, “There’s this girl coming named Jen. I think you’d really like her.”

The moment we sat across from each other, something clicked—an immediate draw, a quiet recognition. Jennifer, usually one to arrive late and leave early, felt the Lord whisper, “Stay. Lean into him.” And she did. Our first questions—“What’s your story?” and “How did you end up here?”—opened a natural, honest connection. Jennifer invited Joshua and Isaiah to hike Goshen Creek together, a place sacred to her walk with the Lord. Something in both of us knew to lean in to this connection.

That hike changed everything. As we walked and talked, our stories unfolded— sharing our deepest desires & greatest fears— and the ways God had shaped us through the unknown. Sitting by the riverbank, it felt like deep calling to deep. In mere hours, we saw and recognized parts of each other we’d long kept hidden. Earlier that morning, Jennifer had prayed for deeper connection and community—and God answered with precision. We left that day feeling seen, known, and deeply understood.

As the days unfolded, the connection grew with an ease we had never experienced. Jennifer had written in her journal that she longed for someone to desire her for who she was, not just her accomplishments. When she invited Joshua over for dinner—he spoke into that desire, saying: “I really like you for who you are, not for what you do.” And for the first time in years, she felt truly known and fully seen. Together, we discovered that God wasn’t just weaving our hearts; He was intertwining our creativity as well. When Jennifer told Joshua she felt a “song” she needed to hear—something she couldn’t yet name—Joshua said, “I think I know what you mean.” We drove to Isaiah’s house, where Joshua wrote a piece on his piano for the last time before giving it away. As he played, Jennifer wrote what would become the lines of our first song, “Unveiling”—a reflection of our story: seeing and being seen, inviting one another into deeper trust, allowing God to open hidden places in us.

Time deepened everything. Whether camping, hiking, writing music, or sitting in silence, time felt multiplied—stretched and thick with meaning. Even when distance came, our love grew stronger, refined by trust and surrender. Letting go, even for a short season, became one of the deepest forms of love. We both asked God about each other, and the answer kept coming back the same: “Lean into him.” “Keep exploring with her.” Even in the unknown, our connection held steady—anchored in God’s voice, affirmed by wise people we invited into our journey, and strengthened by the peace that continually covered us.

Eventually, we began dreaming together—dreams that formed quickly and naturally. A spontaneous trip to Oregon became a turning point. Through prayer, counsel, and clarity from God, we realized we didn’t want to live separate lives anymore. Our paths fit with an ease that felt holy. Our relationship didn’t look traditional, and it didn’t follow a script—yet it made perfect sense in the Spirit. On our last day in Oregon, after calling our families and receiving blessings mixed with questions, we stepped deeper into the story God was writing. Our journey has always been marked by simplicity, presence, surrender, being, and remaining. Our story is not about rushing—it’s been about being drawn deeper into true agápē love. When God speaks, He speaks clearly, gently, sometimes suddenly, and always with purpose. And from the beginning, He has continually spoken the same truths to both of us: just be, remain, abide.

To truly unveil is
the hardest of things my love

To come out of hiding
and choose to be seen and known
Desired and loved

So let’s come unveil our hearts
There’s no need to fear this love
Let the light unveil the dark
We are seen and known and loved

“Unveiling” – Original Song

Joshua

I’ve been wandering through these highlands
Looking for my place to roam
All these roads just lead to nowhere
But darling you’re like coming home

In all of my hopes
And all of my dreams
I know I want you here with me
Beloved one, just come. I’ve chosen you

“The View” – original song

Joshua

Joshua is a man formed and led by God—fearless, strong, and courageous in a way that only comes from walking closely with the Father. He listens deeply and responds boldly, moving with a conviction that springs from intimacy with the One he loves. His life carries discernment, integrity, and a steady courage that does not waver, because his roots sink deep into God’s presence. He embodies the Fruit of the Spirit not as a performance, but as a natural overflow of who he is: love that disarms, joy that steadies, peace that calms, patience that makes space, kindness that restores, goodness that uplifts, faithfulness that endures, gentleness that welcomes, and self-control that protects. In every moment, he follows where God leads—never self-seeking, always listening, always faithful. He is fierce in strength yet tender in spirit, a man of depth and mystery with so much yet to be discovered, a living testimony of a heart fully yielded to God.

He leads not by force but by presence—by grace, compassion, and an empathy that sees people the way God sees them. His words carry truth dipped in tenderness; his actions reveal a heart anchored in unwavering identity. Joshua stands firm in who God has named him: strong, courageous, faithful, steadfast. He pioneers new paths with courage, carries others with humility, and loves with a fierce gentleness that reflects the heart of Christ. His leadership is not loud, yet it shapes atmospheres. His strength is not domineering, yet it transforms hearts. And his life—moment by moment—is one long “yes” to becoming more like God.

“You meet me here,
In tender depths
Your presence is deep.
You give so freely, heart to heart,
Through your sacred sound, living art.
No words can hold what I receive”

– Written by Jennifer

Jennifer

So be, my love
Remain In the moment
the mystery unfolding
And So let go
of all the definitions
And all the understanding

Just be—
Let it happen, breathe easy,
and lean into the moment with Me

“Just Be” – Original song

Jennifer

Jennifer’s name means “white wave”: white— pure, light, peace. wave— ocean, depth, power, motion. Her name truly represents who she is; a pure soul of light who’s as deep as the ocean and ever moving forward in a peaceful yet powerful love. A seeker of God in all her ways, she loves with His radical love and genuinely sees people for who they are. She truly embodies childlike joy and feels most at home adventuring in the woods. The depth of her character is rare, and she has pursued becoming whole in a way few people ever reach. She is like an oak tree; strong and deeply rooted. She’s fiercely devoted to the journey; knowing that true presence comes from being in the moment rather than focusing on the destination. She is an “oak of righteousness, a fearless warrior, and pioneer of many”. And above all, Jennifer is a devoted lover of God (and Joshua).

“Your love is the ocean my dear
Vast, Wild, Free
Your longing is like waves

Crashing over me

Your love is relentless

It chases me down
Searching my heart

I want to be found

You’ve seen me, known me

Loved me fiercely
Yet tenderly given me grace
And space to heal freely

At the edge of your ocean
I look into your love
It’s vast and unmeasured
Yet feels just like home

Deep calls to deep
I’m unveiling, just be
So I’ll make this jump

Untamed, unleashed, wild, and free”
